There have been Christians living and working in East Ham ever since the borough was formed in the late nineteenth century.
A small group of them came together in 1889 to take the most serious and wonderful step of forming a local church. Ever since then, believers in Jesus Christ have joined and met at our church building in Stafford Road E7.
We meet each Sunday and Wednesday to express:
• our worship of God for who he is
• our thankfulness to him for what he’s done
• our love for Jesus Christ and his gospel
• our unity and love for each other
This is done as we pray, sing and listen to men declare and teach God’s truth to us from the Bible. We make it our aim to be pleasing to God when we come together. We hope that our meetings are marked by reverence, love, and joy.
You will find a warm welcome in our church whether you are a Christian or just interested in knowing more about the Christian faith.
We welcome members of the deaf community and although we do not have a signer we are a deaf friendly church.
We also attempt to provide translation using Google Translate. We have done this for Romanian friends and for those speaking other languages.
